The list of people we’d like to thank for making Stonecrop Farm a reality is enormously long. Let’s start at the top…

Thank you, Mom and Dad, for supporting us on this wild journey. Every kid grows up wanting to make their parents proud, and we’re among the lucky ones who get to look back and know that you’ve been in our corner the whole way through. What a gift!

Greg’s Dad and his furry pal, Ally, have been our honorary farm employees, serving as our resident delivery drivers. Together, they’ve hand-delivered our meat from the butcher back to the farm, every other week for over 2 years now. In doing so, they took a HUGE task off our to-do list, accepting only a lifetime supply of farm dinners and homemade cookies as payment. I still think we got the better end of the deal…

If you’ve been on our farm tours, you’ve probably met Greg’s mom. She’s helped out (even during her least favorite time of year ❄️❄️❄️) every time we couldn’t figure out how to be in two places at once, which on a farm happens quite often. Your consistency and generosity has been critical to the farm’s success. Thank you!

My sister is not only my best friend, but she’s just truly the best. She’s only tried our meat a handful of times (she’s vegetarian) and lives out of town, but somehow managed to be here, while not physically here, for so many of the ups and downs on the farm. You are such a gift to us and all the other humans in your orbit.

Actually, all of our siblings, siblings-in-law, and close friends (there are too many to name!) have shown endless amounts of curiosity and support for the farm. Special shout-out to you if we missed your birthday party, backyard barbecue, wedding or anniversary – we love you and promise to be there in person to celebrate the next special occasion!

We’ve been incredibly lucky to work alongside so many amazing farmers. Special thanks to Jess, Tom, Michelle, Ruth, Andy, Zach, Annie, Rich, Linda, Donn, Kristin, and all of our turkey crews for sharing so much love, inspiration and delicious food with the world. Your resilience inspires us.

Unexpectedly, in retrospect, our bully was like the fertilizer in our soil, helping us grow stronger and more determined year after year. I hope you may one day see that there’s always room at the table for one more.

Huge shout out to our neighbors Lisa and Dave for everything, including letting us borrow your tractor “one more time.” And to our superstar employee Amanda, who’s been a deep well of support this past year. Watching you become a farmer has been the best. We’ll miss you and can’t wait to see your dreamy homestead plans become a reality!

We’ll never forget ALL the animals who’ve graced these pastures with their lively presence and then nourished us all in their death. We honor you, most of all.

Last, but certainly not least, we’d like to thank YOU, our incredibly loyal customers! You know better than anyone else that if we want to keep independent diversified farms from going extinct, then we’ve got to show up to support them with our hard-earned dollars!

And you’ve done exactly that, showing up, week after week, year after year. We cannot thank you enough for believing in the work that we do and seeing the value of the food that we grow.

All our love. ❤️❤️❤️

Your Farmers,
Jenney & Greg

PS – Good news!!!! We always set aside a few spares on Turkey Day in case of a screw-up, which means we still have a few packs of ground pork, sausage, bacon trim, and t-shirts up for grabs. Order ahead here before we sell out for good!

PPS – Remember, this will be our last newsletter for some time. As for our future farm plans, all that we can say for sure is that we’ll be back for Thanksgiving turkeys in 2024. Stay tuned for updates next year!
