A poem that’s always spoken to me is this one by Rupi Kaur:
Our souls

By what we achieve

We’d be left feeling empty for something
Our souls ache for community
Our deepest being craves one another
We need to be connected to feel alive
Up near the surface of my skin and deep down to my soul, these words ring true. Why?
Because connection is what the farm’s been about from the very start.
We grow food for you and your family with care and compassion.
And invite you in to come live your best farm life and connect with your food through all the wondrous creatures, animal and humans alike, that make up Stonecrop Farm.
It’s in this spirit that we’re sharing an enormously SCARY and EXCITING announcement.
You won’t believe this, but we’ve decided to dramatically downsize the farm. And by “downsize,” I mean we’re reducing our production by at least 80%.
I promise that nothing terrible has happened – we’re healthy and happily married, and the business is very much thriving. And we’ll share more details in the coming weeks and months.
In the meantime, what we wanted to make sure you know is that our inventory is going to get tighter and tighter over the next 6 months…until January 2024 when we expect to be sold out of everything.
Everything? Yes, literally everything.
Now’s the time to get serious about buying in bulk and stocking up the freezer because our supplies really will not last long.
