I don’t really like celebrating my birthday.
Don’t get me wrong, I love cake and will happily accept a gifted piece of that sweet, yummy goodness any day of the week.
It’s just that birthdays aren’t my thing, and they’re not Greg’s either.
Anniversaries, on the other hand, are apparently very much our thing, because we’ve loved celebrating this occasion with you each and every year now!
Our 10-year wedding anniversary is right around the corner, and we’re so excited.
We’re headed back for the very first time to the exact spot where we eloped, on a secluded island in a forever wilderness area in the ADKs called Lake Lila.
The last time we were there, we were hand-writing our vows and saying our “I Do’s.” It was the beginning of a new chapter of our lives together, one oriented around a farm that didn’t even have so much as a name back then…
Now, we have almost a decade of experience stewarding this land, and we’re headed off to reinvent ourselves once again. Just as it was back then, the details are all murky, of course.
But what is clear to me is that the love we share is just as strong, if not stronger. And the next chapter of this story is one where the farm coexists with our health and happiness more wholly.
We’re so thankful to have each and every one of you in this community supporting the work that we do. We just adore you!
