I really am a squirrel at heart.
A couple of weeks ago, we took the trip out to our favorite blueberry farm and added 4 more gallon bags of berries to our stash.
Pickles, zucchini bread, and a few big rounds of tomato sauce are coming up soon. And then comes the kimchi extravaganza in the fall.
Having a connection with the food we’re putting into our bodies and supporting local farms gives us such a deep sense of personal satisfaction.
Not to mention, having the best food, preserved at peak freshness, really spices up our meals, especially over the wintertime when the pickings get slim!
All this is to say, our freezers are really important to our food experiences. And when it comes to the work we do as farmers? I mean, they’re absolutely essential!
Between stand-ups, chest freezers, and side-by-sides, we have at least 10 freezers on hand at this very moment. And that doesn’t even count the ones we’ve replaced over the years!
Of all the interesting things to come from farming, we never would have never guessed that we’d add freezer experts to our resume. But here we are, squirrel at heart!
Knowing that so many of you are working on stocking up on meat before the farm goes into hibernation mode in January, we’re sharing our Freezer Guide with YOU one last time.
In the Stonecrop Freezer Guide, you’ll discover…
- Pros and Cons to stand-up vs chest freezers so you can invest wisely
- Sizing recommendations so you can determine which size freezer fits your family’s needs
- Freezer organization tips and tricks that you won’t want to miss.
- The 4 steps to eating local from the freezer all year round!
Feel free to let us know if you have questions. We’re always here to help!
Your Farmers,
Jenney & Greg
