Farming can certainly be taxing on the body and mind, but no one can say that there aren’t incredible benefits to this profession.

One of them, which I’d argue might be the greatest of all, is the peace of mind that comes from knowing that whatever happens, we always have good food.

It’s a privilege, and one that we’ve been thinking a lot about again this year as we process the events of the world and prepare for the holidays.

With all this in mind, we’d like to invite you to join us in doing something special.

There’s an organization called Agape Haven of Abundance that feeds families who are hungry right here in Rochester.

We’ve supported them in years past and can attest to their excellent work.

And once again, with the holidays fast approaching, they’re in need of non-perishable food items – things like canned fruits/veggies, tomato sauce, soups, cereals, canned tuna, or dry pasta.

We’re collecting donations at the Farm Store over the next 2 weeks to help feed folks who are struggling here in Rochester.

If you’d like to contribute, please bring your non-perishables to the Farm Store during our usual Farm Store hours!

Let’s work together to fill some pantries and pass on that peace of mind we’ve come to appreciate even more deeply this year.

Your Farmers,
Jenney & Greg

PS – Our pork supplies are getting tighter and tighter, so now is the time to order your favorite cuts before we run out of them forever! Reserve your items online or drop in during our Farm Store hours on Sundays 9-12pm and Thursdays 430-6pm.

PPS – Did you miss out on reserving a Thanksgiving turkey with us? Now’s the time to get on our waitlist. We always set aside some extra turkeys JUST in case something goes wrong, like a predator attack. And the only way to get your hands on one of these birds is to get on our waitlist HERE.
