Organic Farmers in Rochester NY
Greg was about halfway through a graduate program in chemistry when he realized something…
A career path in chemistry was interesting, but it could never compare to that incredible experience he had that one summer he spent working on an organic farm.
Over a bottle of wine in our tiny Southern California apartment, we made the call. Farming was to be our future.
Greg went on to earn his doctoral degree in record timing (yes, he really does have a Ph.D.) and then immediately started pursuing his real passion, farming!
The stars aligned in 2016 when we bought our land here in Rochester (NY) – where our friends and family reside – and we haven’t turned back since!
We raise organic turkeys and have fast become THE place to get the best Thanksgiving turkey in Rochester.

A deeper dive into Our Farming Practices
Our Farm is certified organic through NOFA-NY. We don’t use any chemical fertilizers or pesticides, antibiotics or hormones. We do not mistreat our animals and do not support practices that will damage our land or surrounding wildlife.
Turkeys: All of our turkeys are certified organic. As soon as the turkeys are strong enough to live outside, they’re moved to pasture where they can forage for plants and bugs. The birds live outside every day so they can get lots of exercise, fresh air and space to roam. They get a ration of certified organic grain every day and are moved to fresh pasture very frequently (at least twice per week). We do all of our poultry processing here on the farm, so we can avoid transport stress and guarantee they’re processed to our high standards.
