There was a time not that long ago, where you probably heard us say that we were never, EVER, going to hire employees.

It’s true, we probably wouldn’t have been able to afford to hire someone at the time. But that’s really besides the point.

Our mindset back then was that having someone else on our team would make us slower and less nimble. And even further, that there would never be enough work to go around.

As more families like yours decided to give us a try and fell in love with the quality of the food we grow, the list of tasks to do each day continued to expand.

And in a short amount of time, Greg and I went from being adamant about never wanting any employees, to longing for a third pair of hands to help manage.

It’s been a little over a year since we went ahead and hired a virtual assistant. And I can say with absolute certainty that it was by far, one of the best decisions we’ve ever made together.

Our virtual assistant Jen, who’s been working with us for the past 6 months, is an actual godsend. She’s works behind the scenes managing your orders each week, coordinating the Half Pig experience, and helps ensure that you’re having the best customer experience imaginable.

We wouldn’t dream of running the farm without her, not just because of the way she helps us out. But because of the way she steps up and serves YOU.
