You’ll often hear our people lament about how hard farming is. And there’s truth to it all.

Farming can be taxing on our bodies, our minds, and our spirits. But no one can say that there aren’t incredible benefits to this work.

And one of them – which I’d argue might be the greatest of all – is the peace of mind that comes from knowing that whatever happens, we’ll always have food.

In the face of a global pandemic that has stressed supply chains like never before, we’ve always had incredibly high quality food to feed ourselves and to share with you.

It’s a true privilege and one that we’ve been thinking a lot about this week as we prepare for the Thanksgiving holiday. And it’s with this in mind, that we’d like to invite you to join us in doing something special!

There’s an organization called Agape Haven of Abundance that feeds children and adults who are hungry in Rochester. We’ve supported them before and can attest to their good work.

And right now, they’re in need of non-perishable food items – things like canned fruit, canned veggies, soups, peanut butter, canned tuna, or dry pastas.

Please contribute whatever you can at the Farm Store this weekend and we’ll work together to fill some pantries and pass on that peace-of-mind we’ve come to know well this year.

Your Farmers,

Jenney & Greg

PS – We’re raffling $25 Stonecrop Gift Card next week! To be entered to win, bring your non-perishable food donations to the Farm Store on Sunday when you pick up your groceries. Each food item will count as one entry to the raffle, so the more you donate, the more likely you are to win! Follow us on instagram (@stonecropfarm) to see if you won on 11/23!
