We’re the type of people who love a good plan. Schedules, blue prints, road maps? That’s our love language, right there.

That’s why we plan everything out for the farm a whole year in advance. We decide how many animals we’re going to raise, plan out all the breeding schedules, pasture rotations, and all the budgets. You name it, we usually have a plan for it.

When COVID hit, all the plans we had for the year had to be thrown out the window. And like everyone else, we went back to the drawing board and had to figure out how to adjust to this crazy new world on the fly.

I won’t sit here and complain because I realize that we have too much to be grateful for in this moment. But, I will admit that it hasn’t been easy to make adjustments like this in life, or in business.

Deciding that the Brighton Market wasn’t going to be our home base for the year, for example, was a painstaking decision for us to make. We never anticipated needing to make our little open-air Farm Store our only retail location or all the extra safety precautions we’d need to adopt. Or all the computer work and plans we’d need to redo this spring.

But when I look back, I can see now, that while it sometimes felt like the ground was shaking beneath us, there was one piece to the puzzle that never once wavered. That anchored us firmly to our mission and kept us moving forward even when things felt hard and uncertain. And that’s YOU.

You’ve shown up for us. You’ve supported us. You’ve reminded us what this farm and the food we grow means to you and your family. We are your farmers, for today and tomorrow, and we’re forever grateful for the opportunity you’ve given us and the trust and confidence you’ve placed in us.

Your Farmers,
Jenney & Greg
