The expression “giving thanks” is an interesting one.

It reminds me of this tradition we had in my family growing up where we’d go around the kitchen table after dinner and acknowledge each person for something.

There were 6 of us kids, my parents, and usually one and a half sets of grandparents. At the end of the week, we’d put the sibling quarrels aside and give thanks. At my parents insistence, no one was left behind.

Strangely enough, I don’t remember the acknowledgements themselves, neither those I offered nor those I received.

But, I do remember the feeling of sitting around that dinner table and thinking about each of my family members in this way. And the goodness and love that came about, as a result.

For obvious reasons, I can’t invite you over to the farmhouse this week. But I’d like you to imagine yourself at our kitchen table right now, having just eaten something delicious prepared from scratch by us, for you.

And just as you’re taking that last bite and letting that yummy fullness and warmth settle in, I’d like to offer you this…

Farming can be lonely work. But on this farm, it’s anything but. And that’s because of you.

Your passion for good food, your unyielding support for what we do, your compassion and guidance as we drive this boat forward through these turbulent waters – THANK YOU.

You’ve always been and will always be the backbone of this farm. And we thank you for all the ways, both big and small, that you’ve shown up and supported the work we do, together.

We appreciate YOU and the difference YOU make in your family, your work, our community. And we’re beyond proud to be your farmers.

Your Farmers,
Jenney & Greg
